Gunmen Open Fire Near "Straight Outta Compton" Set
A barrage of gunfire rocked the set of the Ice Cube and Will Packer produced, N.W.A. biopic "Straight Outta Compton" last week, witnesses say.

TMZ reports, "... the gunfire erupted outside the Compton Courthouse last week when some neighborhood guys, not actors, flashed gang signs at a passing car." The individuals involved in the shooting that erupted near the set were not affiliated with the N.W.A. film.

Cast and crew members were unharmed during the incident. However, an unidentified bystander was struck by one of the stray bullets and survived. No strangers to controversy surrounding the upcoming hip hop flick, cast and crew members are said to be rattled by this recent event, as safety concerns arise.

An investigation is underway with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, whether the incident is gang related is currently unknown.

Filming for "Straight Outta Compton" is scheduled to continue next week. No statement has been released from the producers or director of the film.
