MMA fighter Jonathan Koppenhaver, known as War Machine, was arrested on Friday by the U.S. Marshals in Simi Valley, California.
The U.S. Marshals developed information that Koppenhaver fled the Las Vegas Valley and was in California. Koppenhaver was wanted for assault and other associated charges.
He was arrested at the Extended Stay America Hotel on Stearns Street in Simi Valley around 1:45 p.m. on Friday.
Inside the room was a small quantity of cash and some pizza.
He was booked into the Simi Valley City Jail pending his extradition to Nevada.
District of Nevada U.S. Marshal Christopher Hoye said, "This is yet another example of how our joint agency efforts are apprehending fugitives who think they can hide."
Koppenhaver is accused of beating his ex-girlfriend, Christy Mack, an adult film star. She suffered 18 broken bones, fractured rib, ruptured liver and broken teeth on Aug. 8.
Dog the Bounty Hunter had also been on Koppenhaver's trail. He spoke out about the hunt saying, "He fought her like a man. Her blood was flying all over the room."
People from all over the country showed their support for Mack and donated funds to help with her recovery.
