The Wizards and Bulls squared off in an NBA exhibition Monday night, and old rivals Paul Pierce and Joakim Noah were back at each other's throats.
Noah and Pierce mostly gabbed at each other, but when Pierce poked Noah in the forehead it set off the Chicago big man. That's when referees had to separate them.
Be it posturing or real fire, the tussle was perfect in that it featured two of the NBA's most-reviled players, and no doubt many would have been glad to see both ejected. My favorite part was how Pierce put his dukes up after stepping back from the taller Noah.
After all, nothing says "tough guy" like poking a dude in the head.
Who said competition in the Eastern Conference was going to be watered down this season?
