PORT ORANGE, Fla. (AP) A central Florida resource deputy used a stun gun to break up a fist fight at a Port Orange high school.
The Volusia County Sheriff's office says the fight broke out in the atrium at Spruce Creek High as school was letting out on Monday afternoon. It involved a ninth grader and a high school junior.
The Daytona Beach News-Journal (http://bit.ly/1vlcXXD) reports the deputy used the stun gun on the 11th grader after both students ignored warnings to stop fighting. The student suffered a minor injury in the fight but was cleared by Port Orange paramedics.
