‘Tis the season to break up, or at least that’s what I’m told by my 5+ friends who’ve all been mercilessly dumped since Thanksgiving dinner. No one likes getting dumped, but you know what sucks even harder than that?

Getting cheated on.

Are women more likely to cheat in relationships during the holiday season than men? Mobile dating app Clover analyzed data from 150,000 users between the ages of 18-60 to find out if the holiday season really is break-up season, and the results are shocking, to say the least.

1) In December so far, we’ve seen a 300% increase in sign-ups from people already in a relationship.
2) There are 33% more women signing up that are in existing relationships compared to men.
3) People that earn less than $60,000 per year are 2.5x more likely to seek a new relationship while in an existing relationship.

Just because more women in relationships than men are signing up for Clover doesn’t necessarily mean they’re planning to cheat, but then again…why randomly sign up for a dating application if you’re already in a relationship?
