With recent events in American society the relationship between police officers and the citizens they serve is very much on edge.
Police officers trying to conduct their jobs are being questioned by citizens everywhere about their true motives, and videos like this one have come to light that illustrate these sentiments more fully.
As a police officer pulls over a man (Rabi Alwan
) in North Carolina, the man asks her why exactly he was pulled over. The officer responded that she was pulling the man over for loud music and wanted to see his identification.
Rabi decided to fight this charge because he says that the officer wasn't ever 50 feet away from him to apply this charge.
As a result of refusing to be identified by the police officer, Rabi Alwan agreed to go to jail in an attempt to stand up his rights.
Here is Rabi on Vine
explaining about why he didn't just give the officer his license.
