The Green Bay Packers defeated the New York Giants 38-13 in the NFC's wild card round on Sunday, and instead of earning a third shot at the Dallas Cowboys this year, the Giants' season now comes to an end.
It could have been a normal playoff loss, but a trip to Miami and one picture of shirtless players on a boat later, the Giants' low offensive output now shines an even brighter light on some of the players' 'day off activities.'
Odell Beckham Jr. finished the game with 11 targets, but only four catches for 28 yards (and three drops). And the only receiver to catch a touchdown pass was Tavarres King who only hauled in two catches during the regular season.
Like Tony Romo and Jason Witten's infamous Cabo trip in 2007, the full extent of the Giants receivers' trip to Miami will never be known, but when has the truth ever stopped the internet from creative and hilarious memes and ridicule?
A few examples...
Earlier this week, Cowboys cornerback Brandon Carr was asked about the Giants' trip to Miami.
"I can wait another month for that,'' Carr said. "We're good.
"We've gotten this far. It's only 30 more days left of this thing, and they go by pretty fast. Each week is important. These minutes, these seconds, these hours are very, very important for your planning.
"We've got a job to take care of. We've believed in the process up to this point. We won't get to this point and do anything different. We're still locked in, business as usual.''
The Cowboys will play the Packers in the divisional round next week.
